So, I was probably the only fan in all of fandom that didn't pick up Fear Itself #1. I looked at Immonen's nice artwork, and then put it back on the shelf. No more Gods, so they are making some replacements or some such thing. Sounds interesting.
Instead I picked up Fear Agent books two and three. One of the artists on the book is Jerome Opena and the other is Tony Moore. The art is phenomenal, but it is the story that works here. Heath Huston is a drunken asshole that flies around the Universe trying to get his family back.
It is heart-breaking, kind of funny at times, and infuriating at others. And it is a good comic. Pick it up, buy a copy for your pal down the road that likes sci-fi books. You will be happy you did.
